Small portions, doesnt match prices…Stingy with MEAT portions. The Dry pot dishes have very little meat, were more like dry pot veggie dish: 90% veggies and 10% paper thin meat slices. Soup Dumplings are mid, it has soup in it but the filling is firm and not juicy at all- tastes of pure ground meat. Their noodle dishes are tasty but have little meat and over priced for their size. I want to give this place a good score… but it’s hard. We came here multiple times to try but each time they gave us small portions that didnt impress. Service of staff was always nice and friendly tho. So i gave 3 stars bc they rlly do have potential to be better if they just chose to make ez changes. Being Asian myself i understand a lot of us are frugal but when running a restaurant I believe there should be a limit to frugality. This is my opinion.

Gourmet China is one of my favorite Chinese places in Greensboro -- love the soup dumplings, dang dang noodles, Singapore noodles, lo mein... guess I just like their noodles? But here's the best thing about Gourmet China: THEY ARE OPEN ON MONDAYS! All of my other favorite Asian places are closed Mondays. So if you have a hankering for Asian noods on a Monday, Gourmet China has you covered.

Small place, limited staff, and not so great tasting food. Shrimp dumplings were fishy, siomai tasted bad, chili oil was not as good as the store bought jars or the ones they have at authentic chinese restaurants. The egg drop soup and wonton chips it cane with was the only thing that I enjoyed, and that was $4+ tax for a tiny bowl. Almost everything on the menu was overpriced, and for the amount we paid, we expected better than something that tasted like it came from prepackaged ajinomoto dumpling trays bought on sale from the grocery store.

I always go to this place when I’m in town visiting family! It’s the best Mei fun I’ve ever been able to find and that’s always my go to Asian food. I order it every time sometimes I get it with chicken sometimes I get it with beef, but regardless of how I have it done it is always amazing! My favorite is to get it with tofu, but that is a three dollar extra charge so generally I don’t get it with tofu. That would be my only complaint about this place is that it’s three dollars extra to have tofu instead of chicken, which seems crazy to me, but it was explained to me that they don’t use it as much so they pay more for it. I also really love the pork dumplings! I would love if they added more dim sum to their menu cause that would be absolutely incredible for me lol. I believe it’s family owned and it’s just a really great place.

The food was hot and fresh. The portions were fine.The Sichuan Chicken and Spring Roll(2pcs) Spring Roll(2pcs) were my favorites. I wasn't a fan of the Chongqing Noodles becuase the broth had too much oil for me. However, the flavor was there. I wanted to try something new and I did. It just wasnt for me but I believe other people will like it if they like oil based noodle broth.
